Renting condition

  1. The renter must hold a valid driving licence and be legally authorized to drive in Mauritius.
  2. Only drivers listed on the Rental Agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.
  3. The vehicle shall not be driven under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any prohibited substance.
  4. The vehicle shall not be used for racing, competitions, towing, off-road driving, driver training, commercial transport, or any illegal activity.
  5. The renter is responsible for the vehicle from the time of delivery until its return to ATT Car Rental Ltd.
  6. The renter shall take all reasonable measures to safeguard the vehicle and its accessories.
  7. The renter is responsible for all traffic fines, parking fines, speeding penalties, toll charges, and other offences incurred during the rental period.
  8. Any accident, damage, theft, loss, or breakdown must be reported immediately to ATT Car Rental Ltd and the relevant authorities where required.
  9. In the event of an accident or damage where the renter is liable, the renter agrees to pay the applicable Excess Fee of MUR 30,000.
  10. Damages resulting from negligence, reckless driving, misuse of the vehicle, unauthorized drivers, or breach of these Terms & Conditions may be charged directly to the renter.
  11. The renter shall be responsible for loss or damage to vehicle keys, remote controls, documents, tires, wheel covers, rims, tools, accessories, or any vehicle equipment.
  12. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the commencement of the rental period. Any fuel shortage shall be charged accordingly.
  13. Vehicle cleanliness: The vehicle must be returned in a reasonably clean condition. If the vehicle is returned in an excessively dirty state requiring additional cleaning, a cleaning fee ranging from Rs500 to MUR 2,000 shall apply depending on the level of cleaning required. This charge must be paid in cash upon return of the vehicle.
  14. Smoking, vaping, or transporting hazardous, illegal, or prohibited substances inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
  15. The vehicle shall not be driven on beaches, flooded roads, unpaved roads, or in any manner likely to cause damage.
  16. The renter shall not carry out repairs or modifications without prior authorization from ATT Car Rental Ltd.
  17. ATT Car Rental Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, theft, damage, injury, delay, or inconvenience arising from the use of the vehicle.
  18. ATT Car Rental Ltd shall not be responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
  19. Late return of the vehicle may result in additional rental charges and related costs.
  20. In the event the vehicle requires recovery, towing, transportation, or special assistance due to the renter’s actions or negligence, all associated costs shall be borne by the renter.
  21. ATT Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement and repossess the vehicle if any term of this agreement is breached.
  22. No Security Deposit Required: No Security Deposit is required for this rental. However, the renter remains responsible for complying with all obligations under this Agreement and for any applicable Excess Fees, fines, penalties, damages, losses, or other charges incurred during the rental period.
  23. A Young Driver Fee of MUR 5,000 applies to drivers aged between 18 and 24 years.
  24. By taking possession of the vehicle, the renter acknowledges and accepts all Terms & Conditions contained herein.
  25. The vehicle must be returned in the same general condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified upon return may result in additional charges.
